Furniture Showrooms are typically bright, neutral spaces that should not override exhibited pieces. Abitare showroom is different. Marimekko fabric on the walls with black and white psychedelic pattern defines the space in conjunction with a velvety black walls and black polished-concrete floors. Black as new white. Two storey volume, reccesed sequence of three rooms and a mezzanin above them, connected with two sculptural staircases. In contrast to the blackness of the space there are three birch tree trunks, »planted« at the entrance, wedged between floor and ceiling.
