ATRIUM HOUSE MURGLE

Title: Atrium house Murgle
Program: Residential
Category: Renovation of a single family patio house
Year: 2001
Description:
Renovation of an atrium house is an example of respectful attitude towards heritage of modern architecture. The existing pre-fabricated house was too small so two extensions were added forming an U- shaped plan, entirely opened to the atrium via continous windows. Intervention maintained modest character and visual language, part of the large scheme of 1000 look-alike houses. Externally, the only two notable changes are a panoramic dining room window protruding  the brick wall and the wooden entrance niche.
