The key idea of the renovation of an old house in the village-center of Kranjska Gora was the tendency to capture the atmosphere of a warm and welcoming alpine hotel. There are many common areas which encourage residents to socialize, like sauna, wine cellar and a library. Great attention was paid to preserve centuries-old stone walls that were just restructured and whitewashed, as well as to the extensive use of the recycled wood with decades of patina for paving and boarding. Floorplans of the units are extremely rational in size, measuring from 40 – 50 m2, but with enough space to sleep whole family – and some friends.
